Hello, We’re Alessio and Julie
The husband-and-wife team behind Hito Holistic Health
ABOUT US
This philosophy didn’t come from textbooks. It came from working with thousands of patients over the past few years, and also our own experiences — struggles that fundamentally changed how we think about health and healing.
ALESSIO’S STORY
For years, Alessio worked as a physiotherapist, treating thousands of patients using his integrative methods. But something kept nagging at him: too many people weren’t getting better. They’d improve for a while, then return with the same problems. The results weren’t lasting.
Then his own body gave him a wake-up call. Alessio developed IBS — and despite all his medical training, the standard treatments weren’t helping. This sent him searching for answers beyond what he’d learned in physio school. He explored lifestyle medicine, breathwork, coaching, and eventually transformed his gut health completely.
“That experience changed everything for me. I understood — really understood — that you can’t separate the gut from the pain, or the mind from the body, or the nervous system from everything else. It’s all one system. And that’s how we need to approach healing.”
This realisation led Alessio to develop an integrative approach that addresses the whole person, not just the painful part.
Before Hito existed, Julie was building a successful career in the Big 4 and she was even on Partner track. On paper, everything was going well – she was traveling the world to give advice to large corporate clients. But behind the scenes, chronic stress and the lifestyle of being always on the go was quietly taking its toll.
The turning point came when Julie experienced multiple miscarriages. The grief, combined with the physical toll on her body, forced her to stop and ask difficult questions about her life, her priorities, and what really mattered.
“I’d spent years analysing financial risks and market performance. Suddenly I was facing something spreadsheets couldn’t solve. It made me question everything — and ultimately led me to rebuild my life around what I truly valued.”
Julie left the Big 4, moved to a 9-5 job and retrained as an ICF-certified life coach. Eventually when she and Alessio had a daughter, she started to redefine success as doing meaningful work for people so she further retrained getting certification as a breathwork and meditation teacher for nervous system regulation. Helping others find sustainable wellbeing became
her new purpose — informed by her own difficult journey back to health.
When she joined forces with Alessio in the practice, the pieces came together. His deep expertise in the physical body. Her understanding of the mind and nervous system. Together, they could offer something more complete than either could alone.
JULIE’S STORY
WHY WE BUILT THE HITO PROGRAMME
We realised sustainable healing requires more than hands-on treatment. It requires understanding the root cause. It requires addressing body, mind, and nervous system as one connected system. And critically, it requires shifting people from passive recipients into active participants — equipped with knowledge and tools they can use long after our work together ends.
Our philosophy is simple: your body is an interconnected system, your symptoms aren’t random accidents, and you have far more power to influence your own healing than you’ve probably been led to believe. Our job is to guide you, support you, and give you the tools — but you’re the one in the driver’s seat.
That’s the thinking behind The Hito Programme. Twelve weeks designed not just to relieve your symptoms, but to help you understand why they’re happening and equip you to maintain your health independently.
IS THIS THE RIGHT PLACE FOR YOU?
We know what it’s like to struggle with your health. We’ve both been through our own difficult journeys to get here. So when we say we’ll listen to you properly, we mean it.
What makes us different? We don’t just treat what hurts — we look at the complete picture: body, mind, nervous system, lifestyle, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. And we’re genuinely invested in helping you become independent, not reliant on us forever.
If you’re tired of quick fixes that don’t last, and you’re ready to truly understand and take charge of your health, we’d love to work with you.
