Myofascial Massage

Myofascial massage is a specialized form of massage therapy that focuses on releasing restrictions in the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, bones, and organs. It differentiates from other techniques because the therapist doesn’t use oil or occasionally only some specific balm, since the aim is to breaking up adhesions on different fascia levels, so it is necessary a certain grip which would be impossible using a lubricant. It can be like a sport massage or a deep tissue, and it has even better results, although the sensation can be slightly burning on the skin.

Our skilled therapist Cristina applies firm, sustained pressure and strokes using her palms, fingers and elbows to dissolve the adhesions between the collagen fibres creating the restrictions. It is a great method to improve tight muscles, spinal, limbs and joints entrapments and soften scars since often those are the primary cause of many conditions.
