Ante/Post Natal
Conditions
Ante/Post Natal
Ante-natal (prenatal) care involves health care provided during pregnancy, while post-natal (postpartum) care refers to the care given to the mother and baby following birth. Treatments address physical and emotional changes during and after pregnancy.
Standard Medical Approach:
- Diagnosis: Regular check-ups, ultrasounds, blood tests, and physical examinations to monitor the health of the mother and baby.
- Treatment: Prenatal vitamins, dietary advice, exercise recommendations, and medical interventions as necessary (e.g., medications for gestational diabetes, labour induction). Postnatal care includes monitoring the mother’s recovery, managing pain, and providing support for breastfeeding.
Hito Holistic Approach
- Diagnosis: Comprehensive evaluation including physical, postural, emotional, energetical and lifestyle factors.
- Treatment: Emphasizes natural methods and the body’s ability to heal. Techniques include pre- or post-natal Pilates, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy for the mother and the new-born, lymphatic drainage for the swelling in the lower limbs, meditation and breathwork to support the mother’s well-being and the birth preparation. Energy healing to rebalancing the root chakra for stability and security, and the sacral chakra for reproductive health and emotions. Postnatal care includes massage therapy, pelvic floor exercises, and emotional support through mindful techniques like journaling, meditation, breathwork, to facilitate recovery and bonding with the baby. Sound healing or sound meditation are a contraindication during the first trimester however can give a huge support during the second and third trimester or even for the new-born if wearing appropriate headphone for sound/noise reduction.
